Johanna Beth Sennett

Johanna Beth Sennett graduated with “Special Distinction” in flute performance from Northwestern University studying with Walfrid Kujala (Chicago Symphony Orchestra). Further training included studies in Paris with Michel Debost (Orchestre de Paris) and with renowned British flutist, Geoffrey Gilbert. In Detroit, Ms. Sennett founded and directed Kaleidoscope Concerts, a music series that celebrated the diversity, value, and spirit of chamber music. She performed extensively as a free-lance soloist, chamber musician, orchestral flutist, and commercial recording flutist in Metro Detroit. Ms. Sennett moved to the Chicago area with her husband where they have raised their three children. She continues to perform and teach. She is active in Sigma Alpha Iota, Western Springs Music Club as well as the Chicago Flute Club, currently serving as their President helping to bring an innovative and acclaimed series called Fluting with the Stars to the international flute community.
