Roseanne Rosenthal

Roseanne Rosenthal, clarinetist, has lived in Hinsdale since 1985. Her career in music has been varied, but clarinet playing has been a constant friend since her childhood in Syracuse, N.Y. She holds degrees in music education from SUNY College at Fredonia and Syracuse University. As a clarinetist, she is reviving a long dormant love of performing by playing with colleagues at VanderCook College of Music. Her day job is working at VanderCook College of Music in Chicago, dedicated exclusively to music teacher education. She has just begun an unexpected second stint as president of the college. The recent years were spent teaching, doing research into music performance, helping student teachers get started on their careers, while reviving her love of the clarinet.
